I’m Not For Everyone

1 in 10 dogs barks at me when I run by them.

It’s not the dog’s fault. Perhaps it’s how they were raised or their personality.

It’s the same with prospects.

1 out of 10 will “bark” at me when I cold call them.

Knowing that only 1 out of 10 prospects “bark” at me calms me down.

When a prospect “barks” I think, “It’s not their fault. Perhaps they’re having a bad day. Maybe they’ve been burned by salespeople before.”

Then I move on. Conversations with an “s” not a conversation.
