Here’s a killer cold email tip for standing out in the sea of sameness.
Chances are you’ve seen before and after pictures used to sell fitness and skin care products.
Here’s why before and after pictures are so effective:
1. It’s easy to visualize a better version of yourself with a product when you can identify with the “before” and then see the “after” shot.
2. We respond & process visual data better than any other type of data. Brains process images 60,000 times faster than text.
3. People don’t know how good something can be until they see how bad it is. The contrast sells. Selling is about the before and after.
How can you apply this?
Create a before and after picture in your cold email.
Focus on creating a scenario without your product and contrast it with what people can do better after.
Show people how good something is by comparing it to how bad it is.
Do you drive more traffic? Show traffic before and traffic after.
Then ask a question that plants a seed of doubt in your prospect’s mind. In other words, poke the bear.
